Alison Heller-OnoAlison Heller-Ono is the President/CEO of WORKSITE INTERNATIONAL, which she formed in 1993. Alison is a licensed physical therapist since 1987 and a Certified Industrial Ergonomist (CIE), Certified Professional Ergonomist (CPE) as well as a Certified Disability Analyst (CDA). In 2001, Ms. Heller-Ono received her Certified Management Consultant (CMC) credential, making her the first PT/Ergonomist in the country to earn this appointment from the Institute for Management Consultants . Alison has participated in professional training and speaking for over 17 years regarding the topics of workers’ compensation, work injury prevention and management, ergonomics and the ADA. Recently, Alison became the full time Ergonomics Manager for the County of Monterey; the first of 56 counties in the state to offer such a position.

As the primary consultant for WORKSITE INTERNATIONAL, she provides consultation, analysis and training to her clients on-site for the purpose of reducing workers’ compensation costs and claims as well as increasing employee productivity. At the same time, Alison assists her client employers and employees in improving their work practices for better self-care and self-responsibility. Ms. Heller is the author of “Your Guide to Developing an Ergonomics Process” published by CRC Press. She has also published “Your Guide to Office Ergonomic Furniture and Accessories” for supervisors, facilities and purchasing managers as well as the home office advocate.

Worksite International’s ergonomics training program for Physical and Occupational Therapists has been awarded the Oxford Research Institutes’ 5 STAR SEAL OF ERGONOMICS EXCELLENCE and is one of the few courses to be accredited outside a university curriculum by a national board of ergonomics and human factors professionals. The course was accredited from 2000-2006.

 1990: Certificate of Completion from the International School of Physiotherapy, Utrecht, Nederlands.

 1987 – 1996: Clinical Practice in orthopedics, manual therapy, pain management, work capacity testing and exercise therapy.
 1990 – Present: began providing on-site consultation, training and ergonomic worksite analysis
 1993 – Present: Start-up of Worksite International.
