This workshop is designed explicitly for the employer or rehab/safety professional who desires to conduct in-house ergonomic analysis to prevent work injuries from occurring. The workshop targets the specific knowledge and skills you need to have to conduct office ergonomic analysis and implement the appropriate solutions for the best possible outcomes. Worksite International will provide the education and training necessary so that each participant is successful in achieving the goals of injury prevention and management through office ergonomics.

Participants: Each invited employer can enroll no less than one and no more than 4 participants. Course will not exceed 6 participants total. This course is appropriate for EH&S support, HR professionals, Facilities and Purchasing managers, Ergonomics team members and PTs or OTs who want to learn how to conduct a preventive office ergonomics evaluation.

Course Objectives:
1. Discuss current events pertaining to the California RMI Standard, recent Fed-OSHA Ergonomics activities and other workers’ compensation news relevant to ergonomics.
2. Define ergonomics, MSDs, CTDs, RMIs and the risk factors that contribute to their development.
3. Learn how to use Anthropometrics to measure and match the work area to the worker.
4. Identify proper workstation set-ups for all ranges of users.
5. Discuss the science of sitting, how to perform a chair evaluation and demonstration.
6. Identify critical ergonomic office products and accessories that can be used to minimize risk factors and improve ergonomics in the work environment.
7. Learn how to evaluate, at minimum, an office environment using the principles of ergonomics and create solutions for success. Bring your unique concerns for discussion.
Upon completion of the class, participants will:
- Be able to perform a 30-minute preventive office ergonomic evaluation and complete the report of findings and recommendations.
- Provide relevant education and training to an employee regarding how to set up their work station correctly and use their equipment most effectively for best practices in work station set-up.
- Identify, select and recommend the most appropriate ergonomic products based on the existing workstation and the employee’s concerns.
- Contribute to facility planning projects through increased awareness of ergonomics theory, methods and practice.
Workshop includes:
· Private instructions with Alison Heller-Ono, Certified Industrial Ergonomist and Certified Management Consultant at the Worksite International Corporate office in Monterey, CA.
· A comprehensive training workbook and reference manual for each participant.
· Worksite International’s exclusive software: 30-minute Office Ergonomic Analysis system including employee safe work practices and Office Ergonomics Checklist.
· Exposure to “state of the art” ergonomic office accessories lab.
· Ergonomic product catalogues.
· Beverages, continental breakfast and lunch for both days while at the office. (At our corporate office only)
· Certificate of Course Completion
· Three months of unlimited assistance by phone, fax or email to review reports completed and answer relevant questions regarding conducting ergonomic analysis using the WI system provided in training.

Worksite International Cancellation Policy
Tuition is refundable if cancelled within thirty (30) days to receive a full refund less $50.00 and credit card fees of 3.5%. If cancelled fourteen (14) days in advance, receive 50% refund less fees as above. No refunds, substitutions or rescheduling thereafter. Worksite International reserves the right to cancel for any reason. If a workshop is cancelled, we will refund the course tuition in full. Worksite International is not responsible for any personal travel expenses incurred. No workshop will be cancelled without a minimum of seven (7) day notice.
